Why the album title “Diffusion”?
In the years following the industrial revolution, an exponential growth in innovation sent the world into a frenzy of fascination with foreign and folk cultures. This trans-cultural diffusion rippled well into the twentieth century and inspired some of the greatest works of the string quartet literature. In the spirit of highlighting our own diverse backgrounds, the Quartet presents its debut album entitled “Diffusion” celebrating this exhilarating moment in musical history through seminal string quartet works of Ravel, Szymanowski and Janacek.

“Diffusion” will be recorded with the Grammy Award-winning Azica Records.
